From fires to droughts and then flooding rains.

The Grampian landscape continually changes.

Summer 2011 has been surprisingly wet, but full credit to the dedicated band of stalwarts who have kept the town of Halls Gap functioning.

The Jazz Festival in Feb was one of the best, and marks a new beginning for the Grampians

The Grampians region is just 3 hours drive, north west from Melbourne, and is undoubtedly one of Australia's most spectacular and interesting destinations.

The inspiring natural beauty flowing from mountain ranges to sweeping plains, together with Aboriginal art sites and abundant wildlife, make for a journey through time.

Weathered by water, wind and sun, the spectacular rock formations along the slopes of The Grampians have been carved into the natural sculptures you can experience first hand today, taking your breath away.

The unique village of Halls Gap sits on the valley floor just 250 metres above sea level while the horizon rises 600 metres above, starkly outlining the ancient and dramatic cathedrals of rock that form the ranges. You will be surprised to find hidden in natural settings everything to supply your holiday needs. Food outlets give you a choice from ice-creams, takeaways and barbeque supplies; from casual dining and tea rooms to some of the best cuisine in country Victoria.
